Disconnector consists of shunt resistor, bypass and discharge gap and element. When surge is regular in lighting arrester, system voltage is stabilized through shunt resistor and bypass & discharge gap inside disconnector But when surge is excessive and lighting arrester degrades, the element ignites by excessive discharge heat energy of bypass and discharge gap and housing in disconnecting switch explodes and system line is isolated. Inparticular, G-5 Disconnecting Switch for Lighting Arrester made by Geesung Heave-Electric could be applied ranging from 2.5kA to 5kA as all-weather item and is trustworthy.
